Grand River seeks funding recipient

Dear Editor,

The Grand River Gallop Committee is once again planning to host a 5K run/ 3K family fun walk to benefit a local health cause. This will be the 3rd Annual Gallop, and we are proud to have been able to help two very worthy causes in our first two years. We hope to once again help a needy member of our community.

We are currently looking for suggestions of individuals who might need some extra support to pay their medical bills. Our ideal candidate would be a resident of Grand River Hospital District, and would have substantial need for monetary assistance. Additionally, they must be willing to allow us to publicize their need, in order for us to justify our fund-raising activities. All proceeds from this event will be given to the selected recipient to be used for medical care.

If anyone has a suggestion, please contact me at 625-6433 or The 3rd Annual Grand River Gallop will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26. Anyone interested in entering the race is welcome!

Give me a call.

Thanks in advance to all of the businesses who each year have helped make this worthy cause a success!
