Grand Valley girls top Hotchkiss
Glenwood Springs, CO Colorado
PALISADE, Colorado – Grand Valley’s girls basketball team advanced to the 3A Western Slope League district tournament title game with a 53-39 win over Hotchkiss in Friday’s semifinal round at Palisade.
The Cardinals improved to 18-3 with the win and will face Olathe in today’s championship game, which tips off at 4 p.m. in Palisade.
Grand Valley’s boys weren’t as fortunate on Friday, losing to Aspen, 50-28, in the boys semifinals.
The Cardinals will take on Basalt in today’s third-place game at 2:15 p.m.
Olathe stopped Coal Ridge’s girls, 51-43, in Friday’s district semifinals.
The Titans will take on Hotchkiss in today’s third-place game in Palisade. Tipoff is slated for 12:30 p.m.
