Granville Taylor Gamblin Sr. February 2, 1930 – April 12, 2005

Granville Taylor Gamblin Sr., of Aspen, passed away April 12, 2005. He was 75. Granville was born Feb. 2, 1930, to Granville L. and Opal (Taylor) Gamblin, in Salem, Mo.He was a lieutenant in the Air Force from 1952-56. He was a real estate broker, and was an area resident for 19 years. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aspen.Survivors include sons Briggs (Jennifer) Gamblin, of Denver, Brad (Cher) Gamblin, of Anchorage, Alaska, Mark (Brenda) Gamblin, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Chris Gamblin, of Denver; daughters Paula (Mark) Burky, of Westminster, Mary (Kevin) Hackmann, of O’Fallon, Mo.; brothers Rodger L. Gamblin and Brad Gamblin, of Ohio; and 12 grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his son, Granville Taylor Gamblin Jr.A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 22, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aspen. Father Michael O’Brien will officiate.The family suggests memorials be sent to Pitkin County Senior Center or St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aspen.
