Great heroism, great journalism

Dear Editor,

Our family left Silt three years ago. I can’t believe it’s been that long already. I heard about the fire on the radio in our little town of Cottonwood, Ariz. David and I anxiously kept track of the fire through the Internet, and the Glenwood Springs Post Independent online specifically. Even though we no longer live and work there, Garfield County is still deeply imbedded in our hearts, and our prayers have been with all the people affected by this fire.

Heroes there have averted further tragedy – things can be replaced, but lives cannot. I just want to thank the Post Independent for their great coverage, and tell all our friends we love and miss you.

Elaine Farr
