Greater Sage Grouse Work Group meeting postponed

The Greater Sage Grouse Work Group meeting scheduled for the week of March 24 has been postponed to 6 p.m. April 1, at the Rifle Fire Protection District.

The rescheduling came after release of the latest draft plan of the Sage Grouse Conservation efforts regarding the Parachute, Piceance and Roan areas has been delayed.

The purpose of the meeting is to bring a couple of issues and language changes to the groups attention and to hear any additional comments on the situation.

Those interested in attending the meeting on April 1 need to RSVP with DOW biologist John Toolen, at john.toolen@state.co.us.
