Gregory John Schaffler of Rifle, 52, died July 14, 2004. in Rifle.No services are scheduled. Cremation has taken place.He was born April 26, 1952, in Denver, the son of George W. and Millie (Lucero) Schaffler.He was a carpenter and lived in Rifle for 30 years.He loved to take his son, Jonathan, hunting and fishing. He owned horses and loved the outdoors. He received a diploma in literature and writing. He was a very family-oriented person.Survivors included his mother, Millie Schaffler, of Lakewood; his son, Jonathan Blue Schaffler of Rifle; brothers Gary Schaffler of Lakewood and George Schaffler of Denver; and sister Millie Schaffler of Lakewood.His father, George Schaffler, preceded him in death.The Rifle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
