GSHS business leaders have best district conference ever

Glenwood Springs High School Future Business Leaders of America members competed Monday, Feb. 9, in Grand Junction at the district conference, held at the Grand Junction Convention Center.
The school also hosted the event with Abby Willman as the Colorado vice president representing District 9.
Jacob Ziemann, GSHS FBLA member and colorado state reporter, assisted Abby and GSHS chapter officers and members.
Of the 31 members who attended, 27 placed in the top 10 of their event.
Norm Franke, past GSHS graduate and Grand Junction Alpine Bank president, was the keynote speaker.
The chapter earned four first place awards:
Marcus Bosco: Word Processing II
Thomas Hays and Siam Luu: Network Design Team
Lisa Saathoff: Public Speaking I
Eric Whiting: Multimedia Presentation
These students placed within the top 10 in their competitive topics and are eligible to attend the state FBLA competition set for April 18-20 in Vail:
