Hal Douglas Terrell

Hal Douglas Terrell, 82, of Parachute, passed away Sept. 29, 2008, at Grand River Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Hal was born March 19, 1926, in New Castle, to Roy and Martha (Sallee) Terrell.

After serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, he married Leta Huntley on Sept. 20,1946, in Glenwood Springs. They had two children.

Hal worked as an international marketing manager for Caterpillar until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife; son Gary (Patricia) Terrell; daughter Teresa (Joseph) Webber; and two grandchildren.

Hal was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Terrell.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Colorado Animal Rescue, 2801 County Road 114, Glenwood Springs, CO 81601.

Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, at the Battlement Mesa Activity Center.
