Harriet Duprey

Harriet Duprey, 87, passed away peacefully at St. Anthony North Hospital in Westminster on Saturday, Dec. 25, with all her family by her side.She was born April 20, 1917, in Chester, Neb., to Henry and Nellie Moxham. She attended school in Wymore, Neb., and received a teaching certificate in the state of Nebraska. She married Carrol Duprey on September 17,1937 in Wymore. They made their home shortly after in Denver.Harriet worked for Denver Dry Goods as a control clerk from 1959-79. She was an exemplary wife, mother, grandmother, friend and valued member of South Broadway Christian Church.She is survived by her husband of 67 years; sister Ardath Rieman of Barnston, Neb.; three children, Harry Duprey of Westminster, Judy (Jon) Petersen of Northglenn; Kenneth (Marti) Duprey of Glenwood Springs; three grandsons, Jonathan Petersen of Steamboat Springs, Robert Petersen of Fort Collins and Patrick Duprey of Seattle. Harriet was preceded in death by her parents, John and Nellie Moxham; brother Myrle Moxham; and sister Vera Burnham.A family service and burial took place Wednesday, Dec. 29, at Olinger Crown Hill in Wheat Ridge, and a memorial Service Thursday, Dec. 30, at South Broadway Christian Church in Denver. The Rev. Mark Pumphrey officiated at both events.Memorial contributions may be made for organ restoration at South Broadway Christian Church, 23 Lincoln St.
