Helen Elizabeth Meredith
Helen Elizabeth Meredith of Glenwood Springs died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003. She was 87.
She was born June 23, 1915, in Dover, Mo., to Lou Ella Davis and Creed Butler. She grew up in Dover and graduated from high school in Odessa, Mo.
She moved to Glenwood Springs in 1961.
She worked as a retail sales clerk for JC Penney from 1962 to 2001.
She married Lloyd “Sug” Meredith on April 4, 1970, in Glenwood Springs. He preceded her in death on Feb. 4, 1987.
Mrs. Meredith enjoyed reading and watching television.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Mrs. Meredith is survived by a son, Kenneth Lyons of Silt; by a daughter, Patricia Johnston of Fruita; and by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, at Rosebud Cemetery in Glenwood Springs.
Mrs. Meredith requested no flowers or memorial contributions.
