Helen Pyles

Beloved mother and grandmother, Helen Elsa Pyles, passed away July 23, 2011 in Mesquite, Nev., where she had been a resident for three years. She was born June 28, 1919, in Kit Carson.

Elsa served as Silt City Clerk for 29 years and secretary and board member of Silt Water Conservancy District for many years, along with the secretary for the Silt Volunteer Fire Department. Elsa touched the lives of many people and will be greatly missed.

Elsa is survived by her daughter, Marty (Warren) Oldham; her son, Ron Alley both of Mesquite, Nev.; three grandsons, Ed (Julie) Oldham, Michael Oldham, Gary Oldham; four great-granddaughters, Kalee (Robert) Faust, Autumn (Chris) LaRose, Morgan Oldham, Alisha Todd, Olivia Oldham, Sydney Small, and two great-grandsons Steven Oldham and Mike Todd.

Memorial services will held Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011at 2 p.m. at the Virgin Valley Mortuary. A memorial service will also be held Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Silt Community Center in Silt, Colorado.
