Help thrift store help the community

Dear Editor,

We at the Defiance Thrift Store wish to thank all valley residents for their generous support and contributions during the Coal Seam Fire. We know the fire victims we have served fully appreciate all the aid given at this difficult time. The store has very naturally become a central clearing house and distribution center for goods from Red Cross, Salvation Army and FEMA. This has placed unusual demands on our personnel processing these donations. We are now asking the community to come forward and support us as we continue to help fire victims refurbish their lives. Help is needed to sort items, and cool morning hours are best if you can volunteer.

So gather a group of friends and join this continuing community effort. Please contact LeAnna at 945-0234, or just show up any time for an hour or two. We are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Thanks so much.
