It's important to her to reach the children at a young age and teach them about nutrition to not only prevent disease in the future but to give their brains the ability to learn and their bodies the ability to grow most effectively.

How did your business start?

I decided to go back to school to help our fellow man begin to regain health, energy and vitality through nutrition. The American diet has become so processed, chemically treated, altered, and packed with unhealthy substances that it is causing many chronic diseases that cause much suffering. I wanted to help people who were told by their doctors what not to eat but had no idea what to eat, or how to shop and prepare healthy meals. I want to help families to be able to find an affordable, doable alternative to fast, junk and processed foods. I believe that whole, fresh, real food is the key to optimal health and disease prevention.

What do you sell?

I do complete diet analysis, disease prevention, address any health concerns, menu planning, shopping, recipes, cooking lessons, whatever a client needs to transition to a healthy diet. I will even cook for you and offer time management and planning advice for your transition to good health.

What strategy do you use to hire good people?

I hired the most qualified, compassionate person with the utmost integrity that I could find … me!

What is your strategy for growth in the next year?

Word of mouth from satisfied clients is the best advertising one can have. I have helped clients with weight loss, diabetes, digestive disorders, addiction recovery nutrition and much more. I plan to get my name out there in this area and continue networking with several groups.

What is the best thing about running a business here?

What’s not to love, the fresh air, the beautiful mountains, the hot springs! This is such a health-conscious area with so many wonderful alternative therapies available. The practitioners here are so dedicated and true to their craft. Community consciousness is a very healing mentality, and we have it all here in The Roaring Fork Valley up and down its length. I am a longtime resident and very excited to be in my new office at 1319 Grand Ave. in Glenwood Springs.
