Hemp ignored as global solution

Dear Editor,

As the U.N’s World Summit for Sustainable Development closed on Wednesday, I wonder if they discussed a very real sustainable option known as hemp? Did they discuss any one of the 25,000 uses from this single plant?

I wonder if they thought as they were gathered in Johannesburg, “What if we could feed people, clothe people, medicate people, shelter people, provide a clean source of fuel for people, provide people with the means to sustain their own lives and provide people with a peaceful and thriving environment to live in? What if we massively spread hemp seeds around the globe and have people plant and harvest a crop that could actually replenish what is being taken from the Earth and sustain their lives – that is one of the reasons why we are here, is it not? It seems appropriate to offer a sensible and a very economic solution to the world and the people trying to maintain an existence. Let us change our course and give back.”

Art save lives. .
