Here comes Strawberry Days

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado ” This year, Strawberry Days may boast a new theme and Ferris wheel, but it’s still the event that Glenwood’s been in love with for more than a century.

Now in its 111th year, it’s returning to Sayre Park from Friday, June 20 to Sunday, June 22.

This time around, it’s an “Alice and Wonderland” celebration.

Over the course of the three days, bands like Soul Sacrifice and the old-timey, bluegrass inspired Crowlin Ferlies will play, adding a soundtrack the carnival, food booths and jumble of family activities.

Among other attractions on Friday, attendees can watch performances by local dance troupes, as well as the crowning of Miss Strawberry Days.

On Saturday, the famed, free ice cream social will be held, as well as the Village Inn Pie Eating Contest and much, much more.

Sunday will kick off with the Rotary Annual Pancake Breakfast and 31st Annual Strawberry Shortcut Race.
