High Country Forestry offers consulting and on-the-ground work

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado – Rich and Gloria Edwards, formerly of Fire Ready, have a new business, complete with a new name and an expanded mission.

The couple recently opened their doors under the new name High Country Forestry, and are available for consultations as the two rivers region’s summer weather gets drier and hotter.

“We have expanded our services to include professional planning and consulting as well as on-the-ground forest thinning and restoration,” said co-owner and certified forester Rich Edwards. “Our clients can now use one company to provide quality tree management for private lots, ranches, municipalities and agencies to manage wildfire risk, tree and forest health, and pests and diseases. We work to provide affordable, realistic solutions for our clients, leaving properties clean, well-managed and aesthetically pleasing. With new tax deductions, cost-share programs, and drying vegetation, now is the time to call us and get assistance.”

In addition to more than 25 years of forestry and wildfire management experience, the company will “work closely with customers and agencies to connect the public to grants and cost-share programs, especially in today’s economy,” said co-owner Gloria Edwards.
