Holy Cross recycling refrigerators

Holy Cross Energy will offer free pickup and recycling of working refrigerators.”This limited-time, free pickup and recycling program offers our consumers an incentive to replace their existing refrigerator with a new energy-efficient model or eliminate a little-used second refrigerator sitting in a garage or basement,” said Holy Cross spokesman Robert Gardner.Consumers who replace an existing refrigerator with a new Energy Star model can also apply for a $75 cash incentive from Holy Cross. Energy-efficient models use less energy, and the elimination of an unneeded refrigerator could save consumers up to $200 a year. This program is part of Holy Cross’s voluntary carbon-reduction effort.Holy Cross has contracted with JACO Environmental Inc. to handle the refrigerator pickup and recycling.
