Holy Week services start tonight

Holy Week services start tonight at some area churches. A full listing of services to be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be published in the Options section of Friday’s paper.

The Glenwood Mennonite Church will celebrate Maundy Thursday with a Passover Seder beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 28.

This worship service/meal is based upon Jesus’ own last supper with the disciples. Rather than a re-enactment of that meal, this Seder draws upon numerous Jewish and Christian resources and becomes a creative, spiritual and biblical exploration of one’s own faith as well as the faith of the spiritual ancestors.

Everyone is welcome, including children.

The church will celebrate the Resurrection, beginning with an Easter breakfast potluck, at 9 a.m. Sunday, March 31. A worship service will begin at 10:30 a.m.

For details, call Pastor Lauren Martin at 945-5245.
