Homero Otero Ordonez, 42, of Glenwood Springs, passed away June 18, 2008.

He was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, May 1, 1966, to Manuel Otero Baca and Maria Alicia Ordonez.

Homero loved his family. At any family get-together, he was there playing with his children and nieces and nephews. He enjoyed holding any baby that was there. His love and passion were his children and his family.

He is survived by his partner Delia Salazar; sons Paul Homero Otero Chavez, Fransico Manuel Otero Chavez and Jorge Luis Ortega; daughters Kimberly Maria Otero Chavez, and Viriana Marquez-Otero; brothers Omar Otero, Blas Otero, Oscar Otero, Octavio Otero and Jupiter Otero; sisters Isolina Valladares, Yolanda Miranda, Silvia Skinner, Reyna Apodara and Sulma Ascona; his mother; and two grandchildren.

Homero is preceded in death by his father.

A visitation will be held from 8-9 p.m. Sunday, June 22, at Farnum-Holt Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 23, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Glenwood Springs, with Father Luis Escandon officiating. Burial will follow at Rosebud Cemetery.

Farnum-Holt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
