Rifle is celebrating their 10th annual Hometown Holiday this weekend with lots of events in main event centers of the city like Brenden Theater, City Hall and the Ute Theater.

There will be hay rides, live reindeer to meet, scavenger hunts, ornament making, a screening of “The Polar Express” and performances of “The Nutcracker” from Symphony in the Valley.

The night will finish with a walk to Centennial Park for the Tree Lighting ceremony and fireworks blown across the way at Rifle Middle School.

Head down from the park to Railroad Ave. where the Parade of Lights will be going down the street towards Brenden Theater. Catch the tail end of the parade down to the theater for an after parade gathering with s’mores, hot chocolate and a DJ. Or, go to the Ute Theater for “The Nutcracker” if you didn’t get a chance before the parade.
