GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado ” Hospice of the Valley has a big dream, a very big dream ” a Hospice House.

A Hospice House would provide a place to come to die for those who don’t have the support system present in their lives to do this with dignity, comfort, respect, love and joy.

“In my dream of dreams, a Hospice House will become a reality when the right person is touched by a hospice experience that rocks their world,” said Hospice of the Valley Chaplain Sean Jeung. “This means someone with a whole bunch of money waiting to be spent on a super humanitarian cause. It’s coming. I feel it in my bones, and I know it in my heart.

“God hears my prayers around this idea, and I have no doubt it will come to fruition in my lifetime,” she continued. “I joked at the last volunteer training class that I will see it built, but then I will probably be the first resident.

“We need land. It needs to be in Glenwood. It needs to be quiet. It needs to have gardens, fountains, silence, beauty. It needs to be light and airy and warm. It needs to have 7-10 patient rooms.

“And we will do it,” she confidently concluded.

If you have the resources to help make a Hospice House a reality, call Jeung at (970) 927-6650. How much better could you feel?
