Howard Eugene Halsey of Las Animas, CO, passed away on Sept. 9, 2010. He was 63.

He was born on July 15, 1947 in Palmer, Tenn. He graduated from Glenwood Springs High School and earned a Master’s degree at C.U. Boulder. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps service. He was a very proud of his commission to Second Lieutenant.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Onnie and Wanda Halsey and brother, Steve Halsey.

Howard is survived by his sister, Connie Charles Neeley of Colorado City, CO; aunt, Becky Gunther of Clemmons, N.C.

Internment will be held on Thursday, Sept. 16 at 1 p.m. at Fort Lyon National Cemetery in Las Animas, CO.
