Howard "Mac" McDonald Durand

Howard “Mac” McDonald Durand of Rifle died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004. He was 58.

No services are planned at this time.

He was born Feb. 16, 1945, in Santa Ana, Calif., to Marjorie J. McDonald and Harlan A. Durand.

He spent his childhood in California and Utah.

He lived previously in Cedar City, Utah, Las Vegas, Nev., Elko, Nev., and Mesquite, Nev.

He was a dealer in casinos in Las Vegas and Elko, Nev., for 30 years.

Mr. Durand was previously married to Crystal Durand.

He served as jumpmaster for the Army Airborne.

Mr. Durand is survived by his mother, Marjorie Durand; by sons Donald Durand and Daniel Durand; by daughter Kristina Durand; by sister and brother-in-law Edith and Jack Gardner; by niece Holly Waters and her family; and by nephew Matthew Gardner and his family.

Farnum-Holt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
