I-70 through DeBeque Canyon now open after fire

Westbound Interstate 70 traffic backs up at DeBeque due to a highway closure caused by a wildfire burning near Cameo. Colorado 65 is the suggested detour route.

A wildfire burning alongside Interstate 70 in DeBeque Canyon closed the highway between DeBeque and Palisade for several hours on Tuesday.

According to Colorado Department of Transportation’s cotrip.org, the interstate had reopened by 10 p.m.
