I-70 ramp resurfacing starts today

The resurfacing project for the Glenwood Springs exits on Interstate 70 has been rescheduled for today and tomorrow.The Colorado Department of Transportation will close on- and off-ramps and conduct work during nonpeak traffic periods; however, motorists should plan at least 10 extra minutes to use detour routes.Today, the I-70 eastbound off-ramp at Exit 116 (Glenwood Springs) will be closed from noon to 4 p.m. Motorists will be able to access Glenwood Springs from I-70 at Exit 114 (West Glenwood Springs).On Tuesday, the I-70 westbound on-ramp at Exit 116 will be closed from 6-10 a.m. Motorists will be able to access westbound I-70 at West Glenwood Springs via Highway 6. Also on Tuesday, the I-70 westbound on- and off-ramps at Exit 114 will be closed from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Motorists can access West Glenwood Springs and westbound I-70 at Exit 116; and the I-70 eastbound on- and off-ramps at Exit 114 will be closed from 1:30-6 p.m. Motorists can access eastbound I-70 and West Glenwood Springs via Exit 116 and Highway 6.Traffic Control Personnel will be on-site to direct motorists, and advance warning signing and portable Variable Message Signs will also be used to aid motorists.
