Ilamae "Duchess" Wilcox

Ilamae “Duchess” Wilcox passed away May 18, 2008, peacefully in her sleep at home.Duchess was employed for a time by Rockwell International in California. She retired from Safeway Stores.She loved fifth-wheeling well into her 80s, and her beloved doxie Gretchen.She is survived by daughter Linda (James) Watson of Grand Junction; brother Eldred Conrad of Harlan, Iowa; three grandsons; a niece; four nephews; and several cousins.She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Gordon Wilcox; and her daughter Ardith Kimball of New Castle.At Duchess’ request, no services are planned.Inurnment will take place in Harlan Cemetery, Harlan, Iowa.Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Roice-Hurst Humane Society, 3320 D12 Road, Clifton, CO 81520.
