In show of hands, massage therapists soothed firefighters

Dear Editor,

In the wake of the Coal Seam Fire, we felt a need to contribute in some way and decided we could do so by offering our vapor caves, shower facilities and massage services to the firefighters and rescue workers.

Because we did not want to charge them, we needed to have the cooperation of our massage therapists that they would be willing to provide massages without getting paid for them.

Many of our staff agreed to do this, and we wish to thank them! In particular, Adele Williams, Paula Bergman, Sarah Revesz, Cyndy Skelton, Dan Bokenko, Debbie Mcdonald, Mike Sussman, Nina Schnipper, Jaimes Hartman, Audrey Jarvis, Jaime Lemm, Ann Hoban and Helen Deckter.

We also want to thank Aspen Maintenance Supply. Not five minutes after they heard our offer being broadcast on the radio, we received a call from them wanting to donate a container of hair and body soap to help accommodate the extra people that would be using our facilities. We accepted the offer, and they delivered a huge container of soap that may well last us until the next millennium! Thank you, Aspen Maintenance Supply!

Our massage therapists have shown a dedication to their profession by freely sharing their talents, and we appreciate them and our entire staff very much!
