In this election, it’s legal to vote early, often, and for everyone

Be sure to vote – and vote often – for your favorite kissers. Voting locations throughout the Roaring Fork Valley include Starr Western Real Estate, Office Services Unlimited, Alpine Banks, Vectra Bank Basalt, Buggy Works and more. And by the way, it’s not necessary to play favorites; the more votes, the more money for YouthZone!

Today:

Buggy Works, Carbondale: The Kiss-n-Squeal Barrel Pig (YouthZone’s traveling pig that gets stolen and displayed at locales far and wide) is rumored to be making an appearance. Be on the lookout for it.

Buffalo Valley, Glenwood Springs: Pig Roast (sacrilege!) benefit runs from 5-9 p.m. and features a live auction for Broncos and University of Colorado football tickets. $15/adults, $10/children.

Saturday, Aug. 3:

Wal-Mart, Glenwood Springs: From 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Kiss-n-Squeal personalities will be on site gathering votes. Stop by and vote for your favorite kisser. $1/vote.

Silt Hey Day Parade, Silt: Kiss-n-Squeal personalities take part in Silt’s epic parade at 10 a.m.

Two Rivers Park, Glenwood: From 6-8 p.m., this is where the lips meet the piggy. At the Grand Finale, the winner of 2002’s Kiss-n-Squeal Fundraiser is announced and the infamous kiss takes place, followed by live music from The Milltones. Everyone is invited.

YouthZone’s potential Kiss-n-Squeal kissers’ current standings:

Kerry Rippy, 12, YouthZone volunteer, 17,885 votes

The Three Little Pigs, a.k.a. Tonja LaFranz, owner of Office Services Unlimited and Payroll Principals, Inc., her daughter Jordan and Tonja’s mother Cecilia, a broker with Starr Western Real Estate, 16,888 votes

Alpine Bank Vice President Bill Sanderson and his daughter Kelli, 10,050 votes

Vectra Bank Basalt Vice President Rick Padrnos, 4,087 votes

Garfield County Sheriff Tom Dalessandri, 3,608 votes

Petra Fashions owner Kathy Yost, 3,580 votes

The public can vote for any and all kissers at all of the above participating business and government offices.
