Information sessions set regarding new local teacher training option

Aspiring teachers in Garfield, Eagle and Pitkin counties can now get their elementary education teaching degree without going far from home.A new program offered by Colorado Mountain College and Mesa State College, called the 2 + 2 Teacher Preparation Program, brings all the coursework, fieldwork and internship opportunities to the Garfield/Pitkin/Eagle county region.Anyone interested in becoming a teacher is invited to meet with Debra Winston from Mesa State and Ed Bouchard from CMC at one of the following upcoming informational and group advising sessions:-Thursday, Aug. 8, 5:30 p.m. at CMC’s Rifle Campus-Thursday, Aug. 15, 5:30 p.m. at CMC Roaring Fork Campus at Spring ValleyFor more details on the 2 + 2 Teaching Partnership Program online, visit: http://www.coloradomtn.edu/02/05222+2Program.html.
