Iraqis are worse off than before

Dear Editor,

One of the justifications for the war in Iraq was that we were “liberating” the Iraqi people.

We did displace Saddam Hussein, but the Iraqi people are even worse off than before, now that the country is in chaos.

It was never proven that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, and those weapons still have not been found.

However awful Saddam may have been, our government had no right to take the law into its own hands. Through this illegal war, we made even more Arab enemies, and may be more in danger from terrorism than we were before.
