Irene "Sissy" Payton and Warren "Binks" Payton

Irene was born in Grand Valley to Charlie and Barbara Williams. She spent most of her life in Rifle and Grand Valley and De Beque, area.

At Irene’s request there will be no funeral service.

Irene passed away in Cedaredge, Colo. only four days after Warren, “A true love Story.”

Survivors include three daughters and their husbands: Cass and J. D. Diaz of Cedaredge, Colo.: Norma and Ed Mai of Missouri and Barbara and Frank Caylor of Arizona; one “adopted” son and his wife: Mike and Nancy Hughes of Paonia, Colo.; 3 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband and her beloved infant daughter, Norene.

Mom will be remembered for her fried chicken and potato salad.
