It’s the Forest Circus fire show

Alison McKenzie

Dear Editor,

When the fires all quiet down and the U.S. Forest Service is no longer front page news, what will they think of next?

The article in your Aug. 22 edition on “snagging a view” parallels the letter from Norma Schmayer questioning the let-it-burn policy in a drought year.

Obviously, to further capitalize on their notoriety, the USFS is offering, of all things, guided tours of a burn area?

One can only shake their head in wonderment at the ability of an agency to create a circus atmosphere after a tragedy.

Sincerely,

Alison McKenzie
