J.P. Miracle

J.P. Miracle of Parachute died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002, at his home. He was 65.

He was born Aug. 29, 1936, in Glade Park to Eula Simmons and Eli Miracle. He grew up in Glade Park and graduated from high school in Grand Junction.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He married Mary Lee Heuschkel on Dec. 27, 1987.

His hobby was cars.

He lived in Parachute for the past 13 years and worked as a truck driver.

Mr. Miracle was preceded in death by his parents; by sisters Dorothy and Marjorie; and by brothers Dewey and Clyde.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Miracle; by daughters Pam Sasser and Patty Hedrick of Fruita; by stepdaughters Elizabeth White of Dallas, Ore., and LeAnna Allen of Pueblo; by brothers and sisters-in-law F.D. and Mary Miracle of Glade Park, and Foister and Lila Miracle of Sandy, Utah; by sisters and brothers-in-law Lucille Greiner of Carmichael, Calif., Maxine and Bill Cokman of Albuquerque, N.M., and Lois and Charles Gringras of Rye; by six grandchildren, seven stepgrandchildren and one great-grandchild; and by a special friend, Don Gooder.

A memorial service was held Monday, Aug. 26, at Grand Valley United Methodist Church in Parachute, with the Rev. Guy Botkin officiating.

Rifle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
