Jackie Ketterer, of New Castle, Colo., died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2002, at Heritage Park Care Center in Carbondale, Colo. She was 49.

Ms. Ketterer was born Feb. 3, 1953, in Lincoln, Nebr., to Parker J. and Charlotte Estes (later Charlotte Estes Haufle). She lived in Nebraska until 1991, when she moved to New Castle.

She was a well-known pool player and enjoyed playing in New Castle and Silt, Colo. She organized pool tournaments and played in them.

She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church in Glenwood Springs, Colo., and enjoyed Bible study.

She was a wonderful mother, sister and friend.

Ms. Ketterer was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Michelle and Lanny Kerns, of Rifle, Colo.; son and his fiancee Jason Ketterer and Casey Kavan, of Omaha, Nebr.; and sisters and brothers-in-law Mary and Dave Olson, of Omaha, and Cherie and Frank Lederer, of Arizona.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Aug. 17, at the Rifle Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mike Arnold officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Jackie Ketterer Fund at any Alpine Bank.

Rifle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
