James Edward Reser

James Edward Reser of Greeley died Friday, Feb. 14, 2003, at his home. He was 86.

He was born July 15, 1916, in Mentor, Kan., to Georgia Ella Mentzer and James Emmerson Reser.

As a young man, he worked on the family farm.

He married Lois Borst.

In 1941, they moved to Denver, where Mr. Reser worked for Robinson Incubators. The family moved to Carbondale in 1950.

Mr. Reser worked for the Colorado Game and Fish Department, which later became the Colorado Division of Wildlife, as a wildlife conservation officer for the Glenwood Springs area.

He moved to Greeley four years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Reser of Greeley; by a son and daughter-in-law, James F. and Linda Reser of Carbondale; by a daughter and son-in-law, Joann N. and Gary Debus of Greeley; by a sister, Nevelle Martin of Mentor, Kan.; and by three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place, and no services are planned.
