Jeanne Lee Francis

Jeanne Lee Francis, 66, of Oelwein, Iowa, died of lung disease Dec. 3, 2007, at Mercy Hospital in Oelwein. She was born May 3, 1941, in Storm Lake, Iowa, to Raymond K. and Vera Mae (Smith) Francis. She was baptized, confirmed, and a lifelong Missouri Synod Lutheran.Jeanne lived in Storm Lake, Webb, Volga, Fayette, and Elkader, Iowa; Springfield, Mo.; and thirteen years in Glenwood Springs. She returned to Oelwein in 2006 to be closer to family members.She is survived by daughters Joan (Daniel) O’Donnell of Elkader, and Jane (Jeff) Stangl of Papillion, Neb.; brothers, George (Donna) of Bloomfield, Iowa, Job (Connie) from Dubuque, Iowa, John (Mary) from Muscatine, Iowa, Judson (Joan) from Monona, Iowa, Paul (Cindy) from Carroll, Iowa; sisters Raema Liberti from Mt. Prospect, Ill., and Viva (Tim) Weber from Oelwein; many nieces and nephews; large extended family; the special people at Mountain Valley Weavers in Glenwood Springs; and treasured friends.She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Mary.Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at Peace Lutheran Church in Oelwein, with Rev.
