Jennings “Ed” Edward Zinn, 78, of Rifle died July 17, 2004, at Grand River Hospital in Rifle.There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Rifle. Father Robert Hehn will officiate. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery in Rifle.He was born Sept. 17, 1925, in Ordway, the son of Olive (Ohleson) and Arthur Zinn. He married Dorothy Perme in Pueblo.He was a technician for Business Machines and lived in Rifle since 1988. He had also lived in Colorado Springs.He was a member of St. Mary’s and the Knights of Columbus in Rifle. He loved to make things out of wood and give them away for gifts. He made his grandchildren chess sets and shadowboxes. He loved his grandchildren and all of his family and enjoyed watching college hockey, baseball and the Denver Broncos. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Zinn of Rifle; son, Jeffrey Zinn of Rifle; daughters Jennifer Walker and her husband, Robert, of Rifle, Mary Watson of Rifle, Charlotte Bradford of Denver, Ramona Spano and husband Andrew of Anchorage, Alaska; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.A brother, Alfred Zinn, and a sister, Wyona Zinn, preceded him in death.The Rifle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund at St. Mary’s Church, 761 Birch Ave., Rifle, CO 81650.Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund at St. Mary’s Church, 761 Birch Ave., Rifle, CO 81650.
