Jessie E. Kittle

Jessie E. Kittle of Basalt died Friday, Aug. 8, 2003, at Heritage Park Care Center in Carbondale. She was 84.

Mrs. Kittle was born Oct. 18, 1918, in Meredith, in the Fryingpan River Valley, to Ethly Grace Steele and Frederick Morgan Williams. She married Elden H. Kittle on July 10, 1938, in Glenwood Springs.

She was a homemaker and loved the Denver Broncos.

Mrs. Kittle was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters and six brothers. She is survived by daughter Judean and husband Hugh Glassier; son Wyland Kittle and his wife Judith; grandsons Tony Glassier and his wife Dana, Mark Kittle and his wife Sunny, Gary Glassier, and Jerad Glassier and his wife Erin; brother Harry and his wife Florence Williams; five great-granddaughters and a great-grandson, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, at Heritage Park. The Rev. Fred Amborn will officiate.

Burial will be in Rosebud Cemetery in Glenwood Springs.
