Joanna DomalikSeptember 9, 1955 – May 4, 2005

Joanna Domalik, 49, of Basalt, passed away May 4, 2005, after a courageous battle with cancer.Joanna was born Sept. 9, 1955, to Joseph and Loraine Fischer, in Wauchula, Fla. She moved to Colorado in the early 1980s.Joanna was a loving mother, a loyal friend, and enjoyed life and people. She also enjoyed fishing, camping and going for scenic drives.She was a Safeway employee for 15 years.Joanna is survived by her lifelong love, Thomas Domalik; son Joseph Domalik, of Basalt; daughter Angela (Leo) Meraz, of Carbondale; granddaughters Shalynn and Isabella Meraz, of Carbondale; sisters Pelly Franks and Dee Staton, of Tennessee; nephew Kalab Fischer, of New Castle; and many other family and friends in Tennessee and Florida.There will be a private memorial.In lieu of flowers, make donations to the Valley View Cancer Center.
