John Dwayne Robinson

John Dwayne was born Feb. 21, 1944 passed away on Wednesday morning, Oct. 14, 2009.

Born in Roswell, N.M. he always joked that he came in on the first spaceship, the one that didn’t crash.

John was married to Janice Sue Fritz on March 9, 1963. John was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witness in 1968. John and Janice moved to Basalt from Texas in 1971.

He was feeding his beloved horses when he suffered a massive heart attack. The personification of the true cowboys, John was always quick with a smile and would shoot the breeze with anyone who wanted to take the time. John loved to create things and so he worked in the construction industry until his death. To know him was to love him and he will be sorely missed.

John is survived by his wife, Janice; daughter Shauna; sons, Toby and Justin; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Cremation has already taken place and John wished for no memorial service. His family looks forward to seeing him again in the resurrection.
