This month’s movie features Disney’s Buddies, those adorable talking puppies, who venture way up north to a snowy wonderland. Rifle Parks and Recreation is hosting a Christmas tree recycling drop site through Jan. 11. Drop trees at Metro Park, 1612 Railroad Ave., next to the tennis courts.



Please remove all decoration from trees before dropping them off.

The town of Carbondale will once again sponsor a Christmas Tree recycling program. Starting Dec. 26, Carbondale residents may bring their once-live Christmas trees to the parking lot on the northeast corner of Fourth Street and Colorado Avenue (across from Town Hall). Please place them in the designated area. No artificial trees, flocked trees, sprayed trees, wreaths, garland, ornaments, tinsel, plastic bags, wire, rope or lights are accepted – bare trees only.

The next 15-week session of the split-season bowling league schedule at Rifle Fireside Lanes begins on Jan. 5. In the evenings, there are openings for the Tuesday mixed league and the Thursday men’s league. During the day, seniors have a league on Thursdays, home-schooled youth have a Wednesday league for PE credits, and all youth bowlers have a Saturday league. Call 625-2231 for details and sign-up.

Throughout the month of December, the dental office of Dr. Jay Heim and Dr. Corey Johnson will be collecting nonperishable food items to be donated to LIFT-UP. For every donated item, participants will be able to enter a drawing for a SoniCare FlexCare toothbrush.
