Jonathan Blue Schaffler, 21, of Rifle, passed away Aug. 19, 2007.Jonathan was born Aug. 15, 1986, in Rifle, to Gregory John Schaffler and Rhonda Pendill. He was a Rifle resident his entire life.He was employed in the construction industry.Jonathan is survived by his wife, Christa Stanek; son Isaiah Michael Schaffler; mother Rhonda Salazar; stepfather Mark Salazar; brother Chisum Trail Haskins; sister Sage Mairisey (Philip II) Castine; uncles Vaughn Nelson, Keith Pendill, Bobby Pendill, Joe Nelson, Gary Thompson, and Gary and George Schaffler; aunts Gloria Nelson, Pamela Pendill, Dee Pendill, Cathy Nelson, Carol Thompson and Sandy Stegman; grandmothers Clara Sanchez, Millie Schaffler and Margo Salazar; nieces Haven and Presley Castine; nephew Tre Castine; and many cousins.He was preceded in death by his father; uncle Steven Nelson and grandfather William Schaffler.A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, in Silt Park.Memorials may be sent to Rhonda Salazar, 27653 Highway 6, #1801, Rifle, CO 81650.
