Jordan Bruce Stein

Jordan B. Stein, 50, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2004. He was born on Oct. 24, 1953, in Chicago. Jordan moved to Rifle in 1981 where he met and married Jane Gilliam on July 17, 1983.Jordan worked for Valley Service Electrical for the last eight years. He served as a volunteer firefighter for 10 years with the Burning Mountains Fire Protection District. He also served as a volunteer emergency medical technician for six years on the Silt Ambulance. Above the rest Jordan was a husband, father and friend. He enjoyed spending his free time with his wife and children, along with taking pictures as a hobby. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Stein. He is survived by his wife, Jane Stein, son Benjamin, and daughter Susan, all of Silt. He is also survived by his mother, Shirley Stein and brother, Richard Stein, of Chicago, and numerous nieces and nephews.Services will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, July 12, at the Silt Firehouse. Interment will follow at the Silt Skyline Cemetery. The reception will be at the Silt Park.
