June real estate transactions drop from May’s numbers

June Mid-Valley real estate transactions showed a drop from May’s totals for the region as a whole. Dollars for the area totaled $11,246,400, which was down 28 percent from May. Transactions for the area totaled 19, which was down 24 percent from May. There was less activity in the Basalt and El Jebel areas of the Mid-Valley but more in Carbondale, primarily Garfield County. Basalt (both Eagle and Pitkin County) reported four total transactions in June while El Jebel (Eagle County) posted two. Carbondale (both Pitkin and Garfield Counties) reported 13 total transfers.

The average residential price for the region was up from May to $635,213, while the median was down to $490,000. Year to date the dollar volume for the Mid-Valley totals $59,289,600. Transactions through the mid-year total 92. The year to date average residential price is $688,876 and median residential price is $567,000.
