K. Edward Collins

K. Edward Collins passed away, June 22, 2011 at E. Dene Moore Nursing Home in Rifle. He was 87.

Ed was a devoted husband and father, an ironworker in the mining industry, past Elks Club exulted ruler, Lions Club president and always a farmer at heart.

He was proceeded in death by his son, Jim Collins and daughter, Diana Bailey.

Survivors include his wife, Betty, of Rifle; daughter-in-law Kathy Collins of Nampa, Idaho; son-in-law, Roy Bailey of Fruita; daughter, Bobbie (Ed) Botkin of Emmett, Idaho; sons, Ken (Julie) Collins of Grand Junction and Bruce (Betty) Collins of Rifle; sister, Maurine Reed of Fruita; brother, Bob (Virginia) Saunders of Mack, 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held at 9 a.m., Aug. 6 at Elmwood Cemetery in Fruita.
