Karen Lou Sanchez

Karen Lou Sanchez passed away Nov. 21, 2007, after a short illness.She was born May 29,1959, in St. Joseph, Mich., to Wilbur Horton and Ruby Remington.Karen came to Glenwood Springs in May of 2007 for a visit and decided she loved it so much, she decided to stay. She was in the valley only a short time, but made many friends. She was loved by all.Karen is survived by children Amber Bunn and Stella Bunn, both of Paw Paw, Mich.; grandchildren Marco and Brooklynn Olgine of Paw Paw; sisters Brenda Draper of Glenwood Springs and Tammy (Jeff) Potter of New Castle; nephew Draper Horton of New Castle; niece Miranda Draper of New Castle; great-nephew Cameron Draper of New Castle; and stepfather Jim Remington of Watervliet, Mich.She was preceded in death by her parents and a younger brother, Louie Horton.A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, at the Elks Lodge on Highway 6 in Glenwood Springs.In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up at American National Bank in the name of Karen Sanchez.
