Karleen M. Garnett Bonaly

Karleen M. Garnett Bonaly of Eagle died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004, at Heritage Park Care Center in Carbondale. She was 92.

A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, at the Community United Methodist Church in Eagle, with the Rev. Pete Meese officiating. Light refreshments will be served after the service.

Mrs. Bonaly was born Feb. 18, 1911, in Audrain County, Mo., to Norah Hoffman and Hollie Garnett. She graduated from high school in Leavenworth, Kan.

She married Verne Bonaly on Oct. 24, 1932, in Leavenworth, Kan. They moved to Eagle in 1963.

She worked for the Eagle County Assessor’s office until retirement.

Mrs. Bonaly was a member of the Community Methodist Church in Eagle.

She enjoyed volunteer work at the library and the senior center.

Her husband preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 1969.

Mrs. Bonaly is survived by a nephew and niece-in-law, Jack and Sherrie Jewett of St. Joseph, Mo.; by a great-nephew and great-niece-in-law, Jason and Amber Jewett of Joplin, Mo.; and by countless friends.
