KDNK Membership Drive Is on

KDNK Community Radio’s Fall Membership Drive is in full swing. KDNK’s mission is to provide public access radio that connects its members with each other and the world. A third of KDNK’s operating budget comes from membership. This money supports local news coverage, air time for more than 250 valley nonprofits, NPR, youth education and lots of great music. A goal of $50,000 must be reached by Oct. 3.

Stop by New York Pizza on Monday from noon till two as Jammin Jim and KDNK broadcast live from Aspen. Local musicians Michael Jude and Rob Dasaro will play. KDNK will buy a slice of pizza for anyone who stops by New York Pizza and becomes a member, and a good time will be had by all.

KDNK can now live broadcast from outside of Carbondale due to a grant from The Carbondale Rotary Club. The grant money purchased new remote broadcasting gear that allows KDNK to broadcast from cell phone, Internet or land line. KDNK will be using the new equipment to broadcast live from Leadville on Friday, Oct. 3, as well.

To find out more about KDNK go to http://www.kdnk.org or call 963.0139. KDNK is found at 88.1 down valley and 88.3 in Aspen.
