Keen recovering from liver transplant

Post Independent
Glenwood Springs, CO Colorado
Dr. Cliff Keen

Dr. Cliff Keen is a local chiropractor that has lived in Glenwood Springs since 1993. He has three children, Derek (28), Adam (26) and Alyson (23), who live throughout Colorado. Outside of his office Cliff has been involved in the community through a variety of interests including: the Glenwood Springs Chamber, Defiance Community Players, Mountain Madrigal Singers and Tango Glenwood.

In February of this year, Dr. Keen was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder, which caused liver failure. Three weeks ago he was accepted to the national transplant list and on Friday, Oct. 9, he received the call that a donor match was available. At 6 p.m. that night, he underwent a transplant surgery. The surgery went well, and Dr. Keen is currently recovering at the University Hospital in Denver. His expected recovery time in Denver is 6-8 weeks.

As you can imagine, this is a very expensive procedure with a number of continuing costs due to prescriptions and examinations. In addition, Dr. Keen will be unable to work for a lengthy period of time. In order to help Cliff with expenses while he is recovering, an account has been set up at American National Bank, For The Benefit Of Cliff Keen.

Your support, prayers and friendship are deeply appreciated.
