Keep the airport open

Clem Meyer

Dear Editor,

Keep the airport open. Council listed one of its goals as “fewer drivers from Western communities equals fewer cars on the road, translating into a better quality of life.” Aviation in five, ten or twenty years may offer a significant alternative to the car. Keeping the airport open offers future council and the people of Glenwood Springs the option to reduce cars on the road. Can you predict the contribution of aviation in five, ten or twenty years?
